Connect with a child in a developing nation. Don’t let national boundaries determine who our neighbors are.Through sponsoring a child not only do you have the opportunity to make a profound impact in the life of that child, but you also get to participate in a relationship that will most likely change you.

For a little more than a dollar a day, a child can go to school and receive medical, spiritual and emotional support. But it doesn’t stop there. Our sponsorship strategy is geared toward empowering and equipping families, the local church and the leadership of the community to meet the needs of their own children. We focus on long-term solutions – strengthening the families and communities in which the children live. Your monthly pledge will help meet the critical needs of the child you sponsor as well as other children in the community.

Proof

I would like to start with a quote from one of the children I sponsored:

‘I greet you in Jesus name. Thank you for having me at heart and praying for me. I love you. Thank you for being my friend. God bless you for being kind to me.’

It is because of this kind of loving relationship, through our Lord Jesus Christ, with a person half way around the world, that I do child sponsorship. It is not just writing a check each month, but it is sharing the love for each other, the hopes and the struggles. You don’t have to be on the ground there to change a life. You can do it from right where you are at. Indeed you will be providing resources that protect the health of your child, allowing them to get an education so they can survive in their world in the future, and also encouraging them to stay close to God through prayer and attending church. But you can also provide encouragement and hope just through letting them know you love them – by your generosity and by your letters. I have found that probably the greatest need of a child in these places is the need to know that someone cares for them so much that they would provide opportunity for them. This is powerful in the life of a child. Want to make an eternal difference?

Sponsor a child.

‘If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.’ I Corinthians 13:3
