Burundi, though a small country, has experienced enormous suffering. Hundreds of thousands of Burundians were forced to flee violence to neighboring Rwanda and Tanzania. One family, after fleeing war, is separated suddenly. But what could have been lost is miraculously found. There are more than 140,000 Burundians returning to Burundi this year.
