| Regional OfficeS We have four Regions with two in Africa given the scale of that continent. We created Regional Offices last year with the four Regional Directors having dual roles as Country Directors. Each of the Regional Offices under each Regional Director works to help them in directing and supporting activity across the Region, responsible for both Operational and Strategic matters. Most processing takes place at the regional level, therefore, the hiring of service staff is delegated to the Regional management. The Regional Director has a key role in shepherding and developing local leaders in their region. |

OUR VISION:
God called and we responded until physical and spiritual hungers are ended worldwide.
SCRIPTURAL BASIS FOR VISION:
"He upholds the cause of
the oppressed and gives food to the hungry"– Psalm 146:7
OUR MISSION:
To walk with churches, leaders and families in overcoming all forms of human poverty by living in healthy relationship with God and His creation.
OUR HISTORY:
Dr. Larry Ward started Food for the Hungry in 1971 in response to a question he had struggled with over and over again. "I’m just one man, how can I help so many dying people?” His response, which has marked the ministries of Food for the Hungry for the past 35 years, was “They die one at a time; we can help them one at a time."
What began as a compassionate response to a hurting world by one man has developed into a vibrant organization composed of more than 2,000 staff members in more than 26 developing nations.
FH has national organizations in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Sweden and Switzerland.
